A Time for Giving

Although now may seem like a tough time to donate to your favorite animal charity, they need you now more than ever! We are lucky to not be in a situation as grave as in the USA where pets are being left behind along with empty homes and other belongings to fend for themselves. However, even here when money is tight, the charities suffer!

We should all show our thanks to our pets by giving either time or money to our favorite animal charity. If money IS tight, remember that a donation of time is sometimes just as valuable.

Calgary is FULL of great organizations just waiting for someone like you to help. Foster homes, towels, food, the possibilities are really endless for what you could to to help!

Have you been considering getting a new pet? Consider adoption instead of purchasing a cat or a dog. There are so many animals in need and even if you want a purebred puppy, odds are pretty good with a little patience you can find one in a rescue.

Below is a list of some of Calgary’s rescues, shelters, and more. There are many, many more than what I have mentioned, so if you are partial to Pugs or Parrots do a search online to find a charity in need of your assistance.
